AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine Hosts 2018 Southwest Symposium, Celebrates 25th Anniversary

    AUSTIN, Texas - June 25, 2018

The Southwest Symposium, a continuing education conference sponsored by AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, will take place September 21-23, 2018 at the AOMA Campus in Austin, Texas. AOMA will also celebrate its 25th anniversary at a celebratory Gala during the event.

President Dr. Betty Edmond remarked: “Our 25th Anniversary Celebration will culminate in AOMA’s Southwest Symposium, September 21-23. We are pleased to bring together exceptional national and international speakers,

AOMA alumni, healthcare practitioners of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Naturopathic Physicians, Nurses and other healthcare providers interested in 'the Spirit and Science of Integrative Medicine.'"

The conference offers continuing education credits through educational seminars designed for licensed acupuncturists, nurses, and naturopathic doctors. This year’s symposium will feature topics including “TCM Treatment for ADD and ADHD," “Transforming Health through the Power of Mindful Breathing," "Introduction to Diagnosis in Applied Channel Theory," "TCM Herbal Pharmaceutics," and “Care for Emotional Health with Classical Eastern Medicine.”

Dr. Lesley Hamilton, Southwest Symposium organizer and AOMA faculty also remarked: "While continuing education can be done online, the synergy of bringing professionals together to share and learn should not be underestimated. With top national and international presenters on a wide variety of topics, the Southwest Symposium is a valuable experience that provides much more than CEU hours for licensure requirements and diplomate status. Besides - there is the grand 25th anniversary gala event - that cannot be done online!"
