Remembering Dr. James Badge (1937-2018)
Dr. James Badge, former president of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners who, among other accomplishments, played a key role in the development of the board's Practice Analysis of Chiropractic (a report issued every five years and based on a survey of the profession), passed away on Nov. 7, 2018.
In addition to his service to the NBCE, Dr. Badge, a 1973 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, also served extensively in Arizona as a longtime member of the Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners, including 16 years as board chair (active at the time of his passing); and with both the Chiropractic Physicians Association of Arizona and Chiropractic Association of Arizona.
Dr. Badge is survived by his wife of 25 years, Deborah Carlson-Badge; four children; and nine grandchildren. Donations in Dr. James Badge's name can be made the UMOM New Day Centers, a Phoenix-based organization founded in 1964 and dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness in Arizona.
