A Challenge for the New Millennium

By Michael Pedigo, DC
The new millennium is here. What are you going to do for your patients, your profession and yourself? If you want to make the most of any of these, you will set goals to help all three. They are all interrelated (and in most cases, interdependent) on each other.

Here's my challenge to you:

  1. Commit to doing all you can to unify this profession. In your heart, you know it's the right thing to do. Have the courage to speak out even if it means going against your friends and peers.

  2. If you do not belong to your state and national associations, do it now. They are the lifeblood of the profession.

  3. Be active in your associations. Someone must do it. Why not you?

  4. Support the state and national PACs. It takes money to make positive changes in the legislature and kill harmful legislation. Do your fair share.

  5. Support research. It's the key to the future.

  6. Be ethical in all things. It's the right thing to do.

  7. Give your patients the kind of care you would like to receive.

That's it. Just do it!
