By Editorial Staff
Dr. Wilfred Keyes, 74, a practicing chiropractor and longtime champion of school desegregation in Colorado, died May 14.

Dr. Keyes was born April 14, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri. A student at the all-black Booker T.

In 1969, Dr. Keyes joined a group of eight families who filed suit to desegregate the Denver public school system, which led to more than 20 years of busing of students for racial integration of the schools.

Dr. Keyes is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Lylaus, two children, a sister and a granddaughter.
