Champion of the Children

By Editorial Staff
A group of New York based chiropractors has created the Universal Chiropractic Foundation (UCF), a nonprofit organization committed to forming free centers devoted exclusively to children.

The UCF, though young in chronology, like the kids it benefits, is led by Chairman Pasquale Cerasoli, a 50 year chiropractic veteran.

Drs. Cerasoli, Herold, Ravener, and DiBenedetto provide free chiropractic adjustments to all children under 13 years.

Thousands of adjustments later, the group seeks to spread the important message that chiropractic is good for kids: a timely message, given the current trend among some media to try and project chiropractic pediatrics as dangerous (Wall Street Journal and "20/20").

"We envision one day to have a children's chiropractic center that will serve thousand of kids each week and draw worldwide attention," explained Todd Herold, DC, president of UCF. The goal, he says, is to make chiropractic a household word. "We expect satellite offices globally," he added.

While the UCF receives tax deductible donations, sometimes a few dollars, sometimes thousands, the group acknowledges it will take millions of dollars to fulfill their vision.
