Since 1983, chiropractic has been accepted by APHA as "safe and effective for neuro-musculoskeletal disorders, especially low back conditions." Since that time, the chiropractic profession has participated at the APHA annual meetings on an equal basis with other disciplines. In 1990 and 1991, however, there were fewer chiropractic papers presented than in previous years.
The APHA is seeking "original scientific research papers, policy-related presentations, and poster-session materials that relate the meeting theme to specialty areas of professional interests. Both theme-related and non-theme papers will be considered.
Deadline for abstract submission is February 15, 1992. Authors of accepted papers will be notified in June.

Chiropractic Forum
The Chiropractic Forum, which falls under "Special Primary Interest Groups" (SPIG), invites abstracts or panel discussion proposals on the following general areas: chiropractic perspectives on immunization and fluoridation; benefits from a multidisciplinary approach to patient care; chiropractic roles in national health programs; and chiropractic perspectives on public health policies, practices, and issues. Work in progress is acceptable if completed in time for presentation.

Radiological Health
This section invites abstracts that focus on any area of radiological health: chiropractic radiology programs and standards; clinical applications; uses of spinal x-rays; radiation protection in the clinical setting; and chiropractic radiology education.
