President James Winterstein, D.C. has appointed Jerome McAndrews, D.C. as National College of Chiropractic's (NCC) new chancellor. He will succeed Jacob Fisher, Ph.D., who will be retiring after 15 years of service to the college on August 31, 1991. Dr. Fisher served as chancellor and chief academic officer since his appointment by Dr. Winterstein to the position in 1986.
Dr. McAndrews is a member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society and the American Chiropractic Society. He was previously a member of the International Chiropractors Association and the American Society of Association Executives. He is also a member of the Leadership Conference Committee for the Lombard Area Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. McAndrews will assume full responsibility and authority of his new office at a time to be announced by the president. In the interim, he will work closely with Dr. Fisher to execute a smooth transition.
