ICA Report: Immune Function and Chiropractic
The International Chiropractors Association has issued a revised version of its 2020 report, Immune Function and Chiropractic: What Does the Evidence Provide? While the ICA has "given clear guidance to our members that no claims may be asserted that chiropractic is a prophylactic or cure for COVID-19," the report concludes:
ANJC Steps Up During COVID-19 Crisis
Association of New Jersey Chiropractors board members provided 130 meals to doctors and nurses (see photo) at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, N.J., in April. According to the association, the medical center is in one the areas hit hardest by the COVID-19 crisis.
The ANJC also reported a successful spring conference, held virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions. The association offered the conference at no cost to its members.
NBCE Elects New Officers
The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners elected new board members at its annual meeting, also held virtually due to COVID-19. New members are: Jason Jaeger, DC (district IV director); Margaret Freihaut, DC (at-large director); and Jason Young, DC (at-large director and only the second black chiropractor to serve as an NBCE board member). Board officers include Daniel M. Côté, DC (re-elected president); Leroy Otto, DC (re-elected vice president); Farrel I. Grossman, DC (elected treasurer); and Michael Fedorczyk, DC (re-elected secretary).
