NHSU Honors Foot Levelers for Support of Chiropractic Education

By Editorial Staff
Kent Greenawalt, president and CEO of Foot Leveler's, Inc., received Northwestern Health Sciences University's President's Award at the university's second annual President's Invitational Golf Tournament on Aug. 30. The award was bestowed in appreciation of Foot Levelers' contributions to chiropractic colleges and the profession.

Foot Levelers' long-standing support of NHSU includes funding to establish a research chair at the school (1985) and a major donation toward the construction of a campus library (1996).

"Foot Levelers is one of the main supporters, not only for us at Northwestern, but for chiropractic as a whole," commented NHSU President Dr. Alfred Traina.

Several recent donations exemplify the Foot Levelers spirit of support for the profession. In August, the company helped homeless shelter residents in Roanoke, Va., by donating 375 cervical pillows to the Rescue Mission and 125 pillows to the Salvation Army in Roanoke. "We are glad to be able to give support to the community where we can. It's the chiropractic lifestyle," said Mr. Greenawalt. In addition, the company recently donated more than $37,00 in seminar proceeds to chiropractic colleges. Foot Levelers traditionally dedicates the funds from its education division to support new DCs.
