157 Graduate at Life Commencement

By Editorial Staff
Life College held its 29th commencement ceremony at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, conferring degrees upon 157 students. The graduates represented 23 states and eight foreign countries. Life awarded doctor of chiropractic and bachelor of science in nutrition for the chiropractic sciences degrees, as well as chiropractic technician diplomas.

Carol Christensen was recognized as the Spring 1991 valedictorian and Mark Engel was honored as salutatorian. For the Summer 1991 class, which graduated at the same time, Jeffery Bronheim was named valedictorian and Clayton Davis was recognized as salutatorian. Dr. Sid E. Williams, founder and president of Life College, personally conferred the degrees and administered the chiropractic oath to the new DCs.

The commencement speaker was Dr. Robert Hoffman, a long-time supporter of Life and a leader in the International Chiropractors Association (ICA). Dr. Hoffman lives and practices in Oyster Bay, New York. In his commencement address he said, "In the soul of every person is a hunger for purpose. Purpose is innate. We must discover it within ourselves. In the end those who are going to be happy are those who learn how to serve."
