Arizona Election Results

By Editorial Staff
If you've been following the saga of the clash of chiropractic associations in Arizona, (the Chiropractic Association of Arizona, CAA, vs. the Arizona Chiropractic Alliance, AzCA), you'll be interested to know that Arizona DCs made use of the democratic process to officially unite under one organization and one set of officers.

Two DCs for each office were placed on the ballot (a CAA candidate and an AzCA candidate), but without mention of their association affiliation. With the exception of Bill Ingram, all of the candidates elected were nominees of the CAA. The results of the 239 ballots received are listed below.

President: Robert Dahl, D.C.

First Vice President: Ed Weathersby, D.C.

Second Vice President: Bill Ingram, D.C.

Secretary: Linda Simon, D.C.

Treasurer: Terry Peterson, D.C.

The ballot also gave Arizona DCs the opportunity to select a new name for the association: the Arizona Association of Chiropractic (AAC).

"DC" learned that $4,400 in new memberships monies were collected in a single day.

As of this writing the AAC membership is currently at 279 members, and we trust, growing. The combined talents, energies, and resources of the two former organizations can now be focused to strengthen chiropractic in Arizona. We hope their alliance is fruitful.
