During this first celebration, Donald Kern, DC, president of Palmer Davenport, will speak, and Davenport Alderman-at-Large Gene Meeker will read the proclamation in the courtyard of the B.J. and Mabel Palmer Residence at 8th and Brady streets in Davenport. In addition, Palmer Board of Trustees Officer and great-granddaughter of D.D. Palmer, Ms. Vickie A. Palmer, will make remarks, as well as Non-Profit Chiropractic Organization (NPCO) president and current Palmer student Joshua Heines, who founded NPCO in Davenport and approached the city with the idea of proclaiming Sept. 18 Chiropractic Awareness Day.
