Cleveland KC to Host Chiropractic Games
The sixth annual Chiropractic Games will take place in Kansas City, Sept. 25-27, with as many as 1,500 students from more that 12 chiropractic colleges competing in 14 events.
The Chiropractic Games began in 1992 at Logan College of Chiropractic as the idea of then student (now doctor) Karm Virk. The event moved to Parker College for the second tournament in 1993.
In 1995, nine schools convened at Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa for the Chiropractic Games to pay homage to the chiropractic centennial celebration.
Last year the event was held at Parker College in Dallas.
"This is our chance to show chiropractic students from across the country our pride in CCC and Kansas City," said Ron Miller, coordinator for this year's Chiropractic Games.
This year's events include: basketball; softball; mountain biking; ice hockey; powerlifting; volleyball; football; indoor soccer; swimming; tennis; golf; rugby; track and field; and a 5K run.
