Foot Levelers Honored by ICA for 50 Years of Service

At the International Chiropractors Association's 75th Anniversary Jubilee celebration in Washington, D.C., Foot Levelers, Inc., was recognized and honored for its half-century of service to the chiropractic profession. The Roanoke, Virginia company turns 50 in 2002.

Foot Levelers' President Kent Greenawalt was given an inscribed silver tray by Dr. Bob Hoffman, the former ICA former president, and Dr. Elliott Foster, convention chairman. The tray's inscription reads: "The International Chiropractors Association proudly salutes Foot Levelers as they celebrate 50 years of service to the chiropractic profession and the public."

"Over the last 50 years, chiropractic has come to the forefront of natural healing, and Foot Levelers has been there every step, with clinical support, philosophical support, and financial support," pronounced Dr. Hoffman. "Thank you, Foot Levelers, for being one of chiropractic's best friends."

"We are honored and thrilled that the ICA - one of chiropractic's most dynamic and prestigious organizations - took time from their packed convention schedule to recognize us with this great honor," said Kent Greenawalt. Chiropractors are truly the most dedicated health care professionals in the world, and we are blessed to be able to work with so many of them on a daily basis."

 



NYCC President Speaks at Health Expo

Syracuse, New York was the venue for the Fifth Annual Healthcare Marketplace 2001 Conference and Expo June 13-14. Day two of the event focused on "hot topics" in health care. New York Chiropractic College President Frank Nicchi,DC, spoke on "Chiropractic in the Health Care System."

The other "hot topics" discussed included pediatrics; children and violence; diabetes; cancer; sexually transmitted diseases; Chinese medicine; hormone replacement; and pancreatic cell islet transplanting.

Among the sponsors for the event were Blue Cross Blue Shield of New York, the American Cancer Society, Eli Lilly and KMPG Consulting. Underwriters included New World Media, the American Heart Association, and the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration.

 



New Head Basketball Coach for Lady Eagles

MARIETTA, GA. - John Ishee, former assistant head coach at St. Louis University, is the new head coach for the women's basketball team at Life University. Coach Ishee steps in to replace Sharon Baldwin, who coached the Lady Eagles for two seasons. Ms. Baldwin will coach next at Mercer University.

Coach Baldwin's legacy at Life U. is a 53-14 record. Coach Ishee had a 14-14 record at St. Louis, where he also served as the team recruiting coordinator. Coach Ishee, a graduate of Southern Mississippi, has been an assistant coach at Mercer; McNeese State; Pacific; Southern Mississippi; and the University of Mississippi.
