Dr. Miller's Trap Strap

Canadian DC Carries the Day

By Editorial Staff
The Canadian Post Corp. in 1987 adopted a new type of satchel for postal carriers to avert the common complaint of back pain by letter carriers.

Called the Trap Strap, the mail bag was designed by Murray Miller, DC, a clinician in Orillia, Ontario.

His daily clinical experience of treating letter carriers with the same symptomology prompted him to design a better satchel. The project took four years, 18 prototypes, and over a quarter-million dollars in research and field testing.

The chiropractic designed mail bag has also becoming increasingly popular state side. As of the end of last year, over 10,000 US postal carriers were toting the Trap Strap.

The Trap Strap is produced in Ohio and distributed through the Wasserman Uniform Co. in Columbus Ohio.
