The ASRF has approved funding for the following research projects:

Since 1976, the ASRF has funded 77 separate research projects at a cost of $388,265 and with the announcements made at the annual general meeting, this brings the totals to 92 projects totalling $500,637.
European Federation of Chiropractors Meet in Paris

The executive committee of the European Federation of Pro-Chiropractic Associations met in Paris Sept. 2, 1994 at the Institut Francais de Chiropractie (IFC). The officers, elected at the May meeting in Brussels where they adopted a new constitution, looked at ways that chiropractic associations can support the initiative for statutory registration across Europe.
Hong Kong DCs Treat at Water Sports Events

The Windsurfing Association of Hong Kong officially invited and appointed the Hong Kong Chiropractors' Association as the chiropractic consultant for two water sports events: the First Women World Champions' Boardsailing Tournament, and the Mobile Hong Kong Open Windsurfing Championships 1994. Chun-Cheung, DC, CCSP, the chairman of the association's sports injury committee, organized the sports injury staffs for the competitions.
The First Women World Champions' Boardsailing Tournament was jointly organized by the Chinese Yachting Association and the Windsurfing Association of Hong Kong. There were five sections of the competition, which took place along the southeast coast of China. The top eight women sailors in the 1992 Olympic Games and four former world champions participated. Only nine sailors from seven countries enter the final section for the event.
The Mobile Open Championships 1994 involved three classes of racing events: the International Raceboard Class, the International Mistral One Design Class, and the National Raceboard Class. One hundred and 20 athletes from nine countries participated.
Eight chiropractic volunteers were allocated to staff the events at the morning and afternoon shifts. The participating chiropractors were: Alan Chan, Cadmus Cheung, David Leung, Howard Liu, Russell Williams, Matty Wong, Thomas Wong, and Chun-Cheung Woo.
None of the boardsailors were seriously injured during the regatta, although the chiropractors treated a number of contusions, strains, and abrasions. One competitor was treated for a concussion when he was hit by the mast of his yacht, and continued to compete despite Dr. Woo's advice that he rest and be observed for delayed symptoms.
