CCF Awards Scholarships to Life West Students

The California Chiropractic Foundation (CCF) recently awarded Life Chiropractic College West students David Heffer and Mark Fredrich each $1,000 scholarships.

The scholarships were based in part on participation in extra-curricular chiropractic activities, academic performance, and participation in non-chiropractic community activities. David Heffer is a junior from Berkeley, California and Mark Fredrich is a sophomore from Seattle, Washington.

 



Life West Professor Selected for National Exam Committee

Deborah Lindemann, R.N., D.C., assistant professor of diagnosis at Life West, was selected by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) to serve on the test committee. She will draft questions for the Part II, Associated Sciences section of the 1992 national board exams.

 



Life West Student Wins ICA Essay Competition

Yael Weiss, a sophomore at Life West, is one of four winners of an International Chiropractors Association (ICA) pediatric essay contest. Yael's winning essay, "Chiropractic Today for a Better Tomorrow," affords her airfare, lodging, and conference fees to attend the ICA's national "Chiropractic and Pediatrics" conference in San Diego, California November 15-17. Ms. Weiss is originally from Avihail, Israel.
