Abstracts of research papers on pediatrics are invited for submission; the abstracts should not exceed 300 words and must include the name, title, affiliation(s) of the author(s), addresses and phone numbers, current interest in the work, summary of background literature, methods used, results, conclusions and implications for the chiropractic profession.
Deadline for submission is June 21, 1991. Authors will be notified of selection by July 5, 1991. Full papers of selected abstracts will be due September 15 for publication in the NCCP conference proceedings which will be distributed to all attendees at the conference and later made available to the profession at large through the ICA.
The NCCP conference will be the first large-scale conference in chiropractic to focus on a specific topic and will draw on the expertise of many pediatric professionals. The three-day conference will include instructional workshops by doctors of chiropractic as well as professionals from other disciplines, grand rounds (clinical presentations before a multi-disciplinary panel), and presentation of research papers. Authors of research papers will be allowed ten minutes for presentation and five minutes for discussion.
