ACA Presents "Humanitarian of the Year" Award

The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) recently presented its "Humanitarian of the Year" award to Kent S. Greenawalt, president of Foot Levelers, Inc.

NCC Hosts Japanese and French Students

The National College of Chiropractic is currently hosting foreign chiropractic students from Chukyo College of Chiropractic in Japan and Institut Francais de Chiropractie in France.

The 23 students are participating in an intensive learning program that requires six hours a day of gross anatomy laboratory dissection.

PCCW Enters "The Spine" team in Bay to Breakers Race

Palmer College of Chiropractic West (PCCW) participated in this year's San Francisco Bay to Breakers race, entering a team of runners to man the college's 120-foot foam spine. "The Spine" was entered in the Bay to Breakers "centipede division," so named because a team of runners must wear special costumes that, together, resemble a centipede. PCCW's "spine" participated for the fourth year in a row.

An estimated 500,000 spectators watched the race, which has nearly 100,000 participants. "The Spine" was featured in the Sunday supplement of the San Francisco Examiner, and on the local television coverage of the race.

NWCC Receives 50th Anniversary Gift from NYCC

Dr. Kenneth W. Padgett, president of the New York Chiropractic College (NYCC), recently presented the Northwestern College of Chiropractic (NWCC) with an ash tree in recognition of NWCC's 50th anniversary and the dedication of its Center for Clinical Studies. NYCC also presented a plaque to commemorate the occasion.
