CCSP Programme Comes to France

The end of 1990 will see the Institut Francais de Chiropractie (IFC) hosting the 100-hour Sports Injury Certification program in collaboration with Logan and New York Chiropractic Colleges.

A detailed course syllabus has been sent to every member of the European Chiropractor's Union and attendance is expected to be high. So far even a courageous colleague from Australia is enrolling in the program

The sessions will be presented as follows:

Session I: December 6-9, 1990

  • Skull Injuries
  • On the Field Evaluation of Athletic Injuries
  • Emergency Procedures
  • X-ray Evaluation of Sports Injuries
Dr. Nash
  • Lower Extremity: Lower Leg, Foot, Ankle, and Toes

Session II: January 10-13, 1991

Dr. Kramer
  • Exercise Physiology
  • Rehabilitation
  • Taping and Bracing
Dr. Aspergren
  • Injuries to the Thoracic and Lumbar Spines
  • Injuries to the Thorax and Abdomen

Session III: February 14-17, 1991

Dr. Skogsberg
  • Injuries to the Hip, Pelvis, Thigh, and Knee
Dr. Pressman
  • Nutrition and the Athlete
  • Special Considerations
  • Environment
  • Injuries to the Cervical Spine

Session IV: March 14-17, 1991

Dr. Karg
  • Upper Extremity: Shoulder, Elbow, Arm, Wrist, Hand, and Fingers
Dr. Santiago
  • Biomechanics
  • Sports Psychology
  • Concepts of a Sports Physician
  • Course Review
  • Examination
The illustrious, aforementioned faculty will discuss in detail a review of the regional anatomy.

Diagnostic Evaluation Procedures; Laboratory Procedures (when required); Radiological Examinations; Diagnosis, Treatment, and Prognosis of Each Injury; Rehabilitative Exercises; Sequela of Injury; and Prevention of Injuries.

The IFC hereby hopes to bring European Chiropractic into the mainstream of world events.
