Last Call for APHA Abstracts

Deadline to submit electronically to the APHA Web site is Feb. 4.

The Chiropractic Health Care Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA-CHC) has issued a call for abstracts to be presented at the 2008 APHA Annual Meeting.

The deadline for abstract submission (250-word maximum) is Feb. 4, 2008.

The APHA-CHC requests papers that present original empirical work (scientific studies, program evaluations or organizational case studies), or advances in methodology or analysis; innovative integrative scholarship and scientific work; significant research infrastructure development; curricular development or educational research; substantive policy analyses (systems-wide assessments or policy case-studies); program- or project-management and development; or other similarly noteworthy, innovative or informative reports and studies.

Abstracts must be original (i.e., not presented or published previously) and should be submitted electronically through the APHA Web site. Topics related to chiropractic health care and/or to this year's meeting theme, "Public Health Without Borders," will receive high priority. Additional topics of interest include the following:

  • Current Research in Chiropractic II
  • Developing Integrative Approaches to Patient Care
  • Educational Research and Processes
  • Increasing Public Health Infrastructure in Chiropractic Practice
  • International Initiatives in Chiropractic Health Care
  • Models of Wellness Care in Practice
  • Processes and Outcomes
  • Public Health in the Classroom
