3 Dr. Bob's Trans Fat Survival Guide , the latest self-published text from Dr. Robert ("Bob") DeMaria, offers a variety of suggestions to health-conscious people who are searching for alternative solutions. While the formatting and editing do not achieve the standard set in Dr. Bob's Guide to Stop ADHD in 18 Days, this is definitely another appropriate "reception area" text or take-home informational book for your patients. Dr. Bob's Trans Fat Survival Guide, the latest self-published text from Dr.

Dr. Bob's style includes multiple informational bytes to be consumed as the reader finds time. His personal voice, patient testimonials, numerous sidebars and technical material, respectfully simplified for a variety of readers, all lend to readability of the text.

Dr. Bob gives us background on his overall perspective on health: "I am a drugless healthcare provider and clinician. I assess and treat patients with chronic conditions and they improve without drugs. The human body is a self-healing unit. From my clinical-based experience, medications should be used for a short season while the body is fed the right nutrients, cleansed of any toxins, and aligned posturally, creating a state of correct alignment so vital information can be transmitted via the spinal cord to tissue cells and back. Medication has side-effects, all of which are not life-enhancing."

"It's always a pleasure to recommend a text written by a chiropractic doctor to my chiropractic patients. This text is an easy, informative read for any chiropractic doctor, even those well-steeped in nutritional information. It's a great book to have available for patients wanting to research and learn more."

It's always a pleasure to recommend a text written by a chiropractic doctor to my chiropractic patients. Many patients inquire about nutritional supplements and healthy food choices. This text is an easy, informative read for any chiropractic doctor, even those well-steeped in nutritional information. It's a great book to have available for patients wanting to research and learn more.

This guide covers the in's and out's of food selection, a discussion of two essential fats (linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid) and the differences between omega-3 and omega-6 fats. "I remember omega-3 is from flax and from fish like salmon. Omega-3 is also known as DHA and EPA.flax, greens, walnuts, with additional supplementation of whole food vitamins and minerals is what your body needs. Once again, trans fat and sugar inhibit your body's absorption and utilization of what it requires." This is something the reader can easily remember.

The section "Winning the Pain Game" kicks off with a notation that 50 percent to 80 percent of our population suffers with pain on a daily basis. Dr. Bob explains how what you and your patients eat controls pain levels in their bodies. He coherently explains the role of prostaglandins PG1, PG2 and PG3 in the body's management of pain.

Detailed recommendations for breakfast, lunch and dinner choices are offered, as well as clearly stated information on Dr, Bob's choice: the Mediterranean diet. I will take Dr. Bob's tips and make sure I am taking flax oil, eating my greens, taking my vitamins and minerals, and avoiding sugar (to avoid resulting insulin spikes), and of course, no trans fat.

Dr. Bob's Trans Fat Survival Guide falls a bit short of his last guide, mostly in formatting and editing. However, this doesn't damper the spirit of the book, or its timeliness and readability.
