Parker University Announces Consulting Partnership With Dr. Mancini

Just months after retiring from Parker University after serving 14 years as president, Dr. Fabrizio Mancini is returning to the institution, so to speak, in a consulting role. Specifically, Parker has announced that its president emeritus will be relied on to help improve "various aspects of Parker Seminars, institutional advancement and admissions - all areas that Dr. Mancini deeply impacted during his time as president" of the college and the seminar program.

"Dr. Mancini has such an extensive history with Parker as a former student, former president, and mentee of Parker's founder, the late Dr. Jim Parker, that this partnership seemed like the perfect fit," said Dr. Brian McAulay, new president of Parker University. "Over the years, Dr. Mancini has had a tremendous influence on the chiropractic profession and we're excited to continue to work with him. His insights on Parker Seminars, future chiropractic students, and partnerships with donors will be extremely valuable."

Western States Students Hope to Attend 2013 Maccabi Games

Eight students enrolled in the University of Western States' master's program in sports and exercise science are trying to attend this year's Maccabi Games, an Olympic-style sporting competition for Jewish athletes held every four years. The master's program students plan on providing treatment to event participants while gaining experience in sports medicine and injury management.

As you might expect, attending an overseas event of this nature is not an inexpensive endeavor. As such, the hopeful attendees are asking alumni and colleagues for monetary assistance. To contribute, visit the students' fund-raising website, www.gofundme.com/1vv1ho. For donations by check, contact supervising clinician Dr. Sara Mathov ( ).
