User IDs and Passwords: Welcome to the Future!

By Editorial Staff
At the top of the front page of the print version of this issue, every licensed doctor of chiropractic in the world has been re-issued their unique personal user identification tag (ID) and password that allows access to certain areas of Dynamic Chiropractic's Web site, ChiroWeb.com.* While the immediate benefit of these features are the "DCs Only" discussion forum and online e-Classifieds system (offering both Web and print classified advertising), the user ID/password system will soon open up a world of other opportunities for the profession.

Students and new doctors will want to access ChiroWeb's new e-Classifieds system to place free advertising in the "Practices Wanted" and "Associateships Wanted" section. This is a free service to the profession and allows users to upload two photographs at no extra charge.

Over the next few months, you will be treated to features not usually available on most chiropractic sites, and additional services will be added on an ongoing basis. Among the features being considered:

  • ChiroMall is currently being tested and will soon be operational. ChiroMall allows companies the ability to offer you discounts to products and services through the Internet, without revealing the prices of these items to the general public.
  • An online chiropractic calendar that lists chiropractic events by location or the date the event is being held. Users also will be able to receive e-mail notification of upcoming events in their area.
  • Private "DCs Only" sections with information, polls and networking opportunities that will allow licensed DCs the ability to communicate with their peers in a secure online setting.

Dynamic Chiropractic's team of Web designers also is in the process of redesigning the site, so users can take full advantage of all the benefits a user ID/password system offers. Be sure to write down your used ID and password as it appears at the top of the front page of this issue, and keep that information in a secure place.

Also, make sure to visit the following sections of ChiroWeb.com to see how your User ID/Password works, and what services are already available:

Chiropractic students will be able to access these features once they are licensed.

Dynamic Chiropractic editorial staff members research, investigate and write articles for the publication on an ongoing basis. To contact the Editorial Department or submit an article of your own for consideration, email .
