Another Major Award for Olympic TV Commercial

By Editorial Staff

The chiropractic Olympic commercial developed by the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress has won a gold "Viddy" in the Health and Wellness category of the Viddy Awards, which honor video excellence. It is the fourth time the commercial has been honored in various competitions.

The Videographer Awards is one of the oldest and most respected in the industry. The awards competition is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, consisting of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and freelance professionals. This year's competition featured more than 2,500 entries from around the world.

"We wanted to make an impact with our first worldwide TV commercial to engage viewers in how chiropractic care can improve their health and even change lives," said Dr. Sherry McAllister, F4CP president. "However, we did not expect this overwhelming recognition from the industry nor awards in prestigious competitions that attract the biggest brands in the world. We are honored for this recognition, but even more excited that the [commercial] had such a large viewership around the world and continues to generate so much interest in chiropractic care from online traffic."

It features past Olympian and now doctor of chiropractic, Dr. Erica Witter-Davis.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of NCMIC and the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, it aired 25 times and was seen by an estimated 209 million viewers in 58 countries. The commercial had a ripple effect online, resulting in more than 1.2 million impressions on the F4CP's online homepage. It also generated 500,000 social media views; created more than 400,000 impressions from in-app marketing ads with chiropractic colleges encouraging a career as a DC; and drove over 133,000 visits to the F4CP's Find-A-Doctor Directory.
