Following his graduation from Palmer in 1955, he opened the Pierce Chiropractic Clinic in Dravosburg, Pennsylvania.
An author of numerous books, manuals and patient educational materials, Dr. Pierce also investigated, experimented, researched and developed methods, techniques and equipment that will influence the profession for years to come. His work and dedication benefited millions of people.
Palmer College awarded him the D.D. Palmer Scientific award in 1969. In 1971, Columbia Institute bestowed upon him the Doctor of Humanities. He was elected a Fellow in the Palmer Academy of Chiropractic in 1988, and a Distinguished Fellow in the ICA in 1986.
Vern Pierce was always interested in results, and the greatest result of his life is that the world is a better place because he was here. The profession will miss his talents and knowledge.
