Chiropractor Keynotes Oncology Meeting

Van D. Merkle, DABCI, DCBCN, CCN, a 1982 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, served as the keynote speaker at the Clinical Society for Integrative Oncology in Seoul, Korea earlier this year.

Dr. Merkle spoke on laboratory testing and nutrition to a distinguished audience that included Dr. Jin Zhe, urologist and professor at Peking University, elder care division; Dr. Zhang Jinping, chair/director of 300 elder care hospitals in China; Dr. Seo Jungbok, vice president in DaeJung Elder Care Hospital in China; Dr. Fu Ping, chairman of the Chinese Clinical Nutrition Association); Dr. Kim Kyungah, team doctor of DaeJung Hospital, Korea; and Dr. Park Minsoo, renown Korean TV star doctor. Overall, approximately 250 oncologists, researchers and other MDs attended learning about safe, natural options for cancer and elder care.


Stanford Study to Investigate PEMF Therapy for Bone Fracture Healing

A clinical trial is underway to evaluate the efficacy of pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy in accelerating bone fracture healing. During the upcoming school year, all Stanford University student-athletes with nonsurgical bone stress reactions or fractures below the knee (overuse injuries) will be screened for inclusion.
