Historic Court Decision in Brazil

Brazil's Supreme Federal Court has ruled in favor of the Brazilian Chiropractic Association, a decision that prohibits PTs from labeling themselves "Chiropractic Physiotherapists" and nullifies Proposition 220, which the Federation of Physical Therapy Licensing Boards had used to claim chiropractic as a PT specialty.

After the chiropractic profession's decade-long harassment by PTs in Brazil, this Supreme Court ruling at last gives Brazilian DCs the legal support they deserve.


First Non-DC WFC Chair

Dr. Chris Cassirer, president and CEO of Northwestern Health Sciences University since 2014, has been named chair of the WFC Public Health Committee, the first non-DC appointed to the position. Dr. Cassirer earned a Doctor of Science from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Public Health from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University.


$500,000 Donation to UWS

Standard Process has pledged $500,000 to the University of Western States' capital campaign. The sizable donation will be used to build a commons area, named after the company, that will serve as an entry point to the East-West Hall, the university's largest campus structure.
