SCASA Students Eligible for USDE Financial Aid through 1995

By Editorial Staff
Though the Straight Chiropractic Academic Standards Association (SCASA) lost its accrediting status with the U.S. Dept. of Education (USDE), effective June 4, 1993, SACSA reports that its colleges have been granted continued eligibility to administer Title IV student financial aid programs through June 1995 by the USDE.

The SCASA board of trustees declared it will remain committed to the organization's accreditation responsibilities to its member institutions, the profession, and the public while its schools proceed through the accreditation process of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE).

In a prepared statement, SCASA said it will remain active in the promotion and evaluation of high quality educational programs and will continue to work with the CCE and other appropriate agencies and organizations to ensure that the philosophy and tenets of straight chiropractic will remain intact and well-defined.
