The suit alleges: "Violation of Civil Rights"; "Interference of Contractual and/or Business Relations"; "Defamation"; "Fraud"; and "Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress."
When "DC" contacted Dr. Rondberg for an interview regarding the case, his office office gave this reply:
"Dr. Rondberg is out of town until August 31st, and is unavailable by either telephone or fax. However, I did contact his attorney and in response to your fax of August 4th, because of the litigation involved, Dr. Rondberg declines to be interviewed at this time."Dr. Badge, who officially stepped down as chairman of the Arizona Board July 8, 1993, is being represented by Lisa Daniel of the Arizona Attorneys General Insurance Defense Division.
MPI's attorney Michael Schroeder made this comment:
"Dr. Ronberg's frivolous lawsuit is a transparent attempt to divert attention away from his involvement in the AzSCAM political corruption scandal and from his upcoming license discipline hearing. Dynamic Chiropractic and Donald Petersen will be fully vindicated at the conclusion of this matter."It is anticipated that Dr. Badge's term on the Arizona Board will expire before Dr. Rondberg's hearing August 31 -- September 1.
