Life Takes to the Court

A standing-room crowd of 2,000 were on hand at Life College to see the inaugural game of Life's first collegiate basketball team, the Running Eagles defeat Devry Institute of Technology 112-78.

A pregame party and ceremonial tip-off were presided over by Dr. Sid Williams, president and founder of Life College.

The team competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division 25.

The team has posted a gratifying record of 7-1, including a tournament victory at the Webber College Invitational in Babson Park, Florida were they defeated Webber College 74-66 in the finals.

Bodybuilding without Drugs

David Orlando, a 24 year-old second quarter student at Life, recently won his division at the Natural World Competition in Sicily, Italy, a bodybuilders' competition whose testing procedure excludes competitors who use steroids in their training. His previous title of Junior Mr. USA at the U.S. Natural Bodybuilding Championships qualified him to compete in Sicily.

Orlando was introduced to chiropractic after suffering a shoulder injury. His mother pointed him towards chiropractic care and he enjoyed immediate and long-lasting results.

Orlando's exposure to chiropractic led him to enroll in the pre-chiropractic program at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut where he graduated with a B.S. in biology in 1989.

Orlando has appeared in Natural Physique magazine, among other publications, and on an ESPN workout video with Mr. Universe, Lee Haney.
