Life West Aids Oklahaven

HAYWARD, Calif. - Students at Life Chiropractic College West raised $2,200 by "selling their hearts," red paper valentine hearts, that is, to benefit the Oklahaven Children's Chiropractic Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The hearts, sold throughout February for $15 each, included a "Have a Heart" T-shirt, and were displayed at Life West's entryway.

"We are very happy with the results with this year's fundraiser," said Stacey Goodson, president of Life West's Student International Chiropractic Association.

Oklahaven has been in operation since the 1960s, and provides chiropractic treatment for families that cannot afford the care. Oklahaven receives no state or federal aid.
