ChiroPoll and DC Graphs Now on ChiroWeb

By Editorial Staff
Ever wonder what percentage of the chiropractic profession operates a cash practice, or how many patients a "typical" chiropractor treats in the course of a week?

Wouldn't it be nice to quickly survey the chiropractic profession to find out the answers to these and any other questions that come to mind? Unfortunately, the cost of conducting a statistically valid survey of the chiropractic profession averages about $6,000.

But there is a viable alternative. We'd like to introduce ChiroPoll, our web page devoted to surveying the profession on a new topic every two weeks. ChiroPoll allows you to answer the survey question and immediately see the current results on line. ChiroPoll records your votes, while preventing anyone from voting more than once. At the end of the two weeks, the results will be published in Dynamic Chiropractic.

While this is not a formal survey, it should give a fairly accurate idea about what other DCs are thinking. The schedule of upcoming questions is:

May 18th-June 1

"What made you decide to become a doctor of chiropractic?"

June 1-June 15

"Should doctors of chiropractic be allowed to prescribe over-the-counter medication?"

June 15-June 29

"If a medical doctor wants to become a doctor of chiropractic, how many years of chiropractic college should they attend?"

We get many requests for copies or information on the graphs we publish on the lower left front page of each issue of Dynamic Chiropractic. Doctors who want to share the graphs with their patients or other interested parties have been cutting and copying the graphs, but now we've posted graphs on our website (ChiroWeb) from issues in late 1997 through the current issue. Now you can print the graphs from you computer, incorporate them into your patient newsletter, or post them in your waiting room.

You'll find the graphs in the archive section of ChiroWeb. The archives features over 7,000 articles from Dynamic Chiropractic issues from 1991 through 1997. Access the DC graphs at http://www.chiroweb.com/archives.

Dynamic Chiropractic editorial staff members research, investigate and write articles for the publication on an ongoing basis. To contact the Editorial Department or submit an article of your own for consideration, email .
