Australian Chiropractic Groups Merge

The Australian Chiropractors Association recently merged with the United Chiropractic Association of Australia Limited. New Facility For National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE)

In December, the NBCE moved to its newly-built facility in Greeley, Colorado. The building also provides offices for the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB), which operated previously without an independent national office. An open house to dedicate and introduce the new facility will be held in the late Spring.

Association for International Cultural Exchange Programs (AICEP) to Hold Course in USSR

June 7-10, AICEP will offer a graduate course for chiropractors in the Soviet Union, conducted by Soviet physicians, researchers and sports scientists. Participants will have the chance to attend the European Sports Medicine Congress in Budapest, Hungary. DC Volunteers Needed for National and International Sports Events

Third International Conference of FCER in

The Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research (FCER) will hold its 1991 International Conference on Spinal Manipulation (ICSM) on April 12-13 in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. J. Jarrett Clinton, M.D., M.P.H., acting administrator for the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research, and Ruth S. Hanft, Ph.D., research professor at George Washington University, will be the speakers.

NYCC Students Honored in Who's Who Publication

Twenty-nine NYCC students will be included in the 1991 edition of Who's Who Among College Students. Students are chosen from over 1,400 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and several foreign nations.

 

Life College of Chiropractic (LCC)

NBA Team Trains at LCC

Professional basketball's Atlanta Hawks held their daily practice sessions, which were open to the public, in LCC's recently-completed athletic complex. The Hawks practiced at LCC's sports center for two weeks in preparation for their first exhibition game against Minnesota. LCC's $4 million sports health complex and gymnasium, as well as the $2 million Nell K. Williams Learning Resource Center and the Basic Science Center were dedicated October 25, 1990.

John Triano Joins HealthChicago

John J. Triano, D.C., M.A., Chief of Clinics Staff, was appointed HealthChicago consultant for doctors of chiropractic medicine. He is a member of the Peer Review Committee, and has been invited to apply for a position as a practicing chiropractic physician for HealthChicago.

William Hogan Receives Chiropractic Award William Hogan, D.C., Professor and Chairman of the Department of Chiropractic Practice, received the Clyde Martyn Award. The award recognizes individuals for outstanding contributions to chiropractic education and research.
