Dr. Gregg has been an active member of the ICA for over 19 years. He currently serves on ICA's board of directors as central regional director. A well-known pioneer in obtaining hospital privileges for DCs, he is chairman of ICA's Hospital Committee and an instructor with ICA's exclusive Hospital Privileges and Protocol Seminar.

"I believe the chiropractic profession is at a crossroads," explained President Elect Dr. James Gregg. "There are those in our profession that would choose to have us go down the road of osteopathy and those who like to have us thought of as bonesetters -- having nothing to do with health. I believe that ICA will be the catalyst that will lead the profession to a responsible position in the public's mind. I also believe that as we ask the sick and the suffering of the world to accept our approach in health care, we must also accept the responsibility that goes along with it."
Dr. Gregg has practiced chiropractic in Garden City, Michigan for more than 19 years and is chief of the department of chiropractic at New Center Hospital -- one of the first hospitals in the nation to grant DCs clinical, in-patient hospital privileges. He received his professional training at Logan College of Chiropractic, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was recently appointed chairman of the board of the Michigan Chiropractic Council.
Dr. Gregg has received numerous awards for distinguished service and professional excellence, including the Michigan Chiropractic Council's President's Special Achievement Award, Outstanding Service Award, and the Hall of Fame Award for Professional Achievement.
Dr. Gregg has served as a chiropractic consultant to Medicaid, Department of Social Services, state of Michigan, and to Michigan Blue Cross/Blue Shield. In 1988, Dr. Gregg was appointed to the Malpractice Review Board of the American Arbitration Association as well as Michigan Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Vice President Elect Dr. Gary Street has been an active member of the ICA since 1971 and has most recently served on ICA's board of directors. He received the Distinguished Fellow from the association in 1987 and recently has been teaching ICA-sponsored "Associateship" seminars to chiropractic students nationwide.
"I am anxious to represent ICA at the national level and continue to spearhead programs aimed at increasing the profession's acceptance and visibility with the public and legislators," Dr. Street said. "I am confident that under ICA's new leadership, we will continue to set the pace for chiropractic."
Dr. Street received his DC and Philosophy of Chiropractic (Ph.C.) from Palmer College in 1965 and 1966, respectively, and is listed in Who's Who in chiropractic. He is a diplomat at Palmer and is also a member of the college's continued education faculty.
Dr. Street has practiced chiropractic since 1965 when he began private practice in Olney, Illinois. He now manages two successful chiropractic offices. He has been teaching chiropractic office procedures in his "Basics" seminar since 1978.
He has been active in his community, serving the Olney Chamber of Commerce as president from 1974-75. He was a representative of Richland County in comprehensive Health Planning for six years and was the executive vice president of the Southern Illinois Comprehensive Health Planning Region, receiving special certificates of service awards.
