Dr. Frank Nicchi Receives Award at ACC-RAC

Dr. Frank Nicchi, longtime New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) president and a member of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges Board of Directors for 15 years, including service as president (2009-2011), was honored by the ACC with an award for "exemplary leadership, commitment, enterprise and service" to the organization at the annual ACC-Research Agenda Conference (RAC) in March.

McAulay, DC, PhD, president of Parker University and immediate past president of the ACC. He added: "Dr. Nicchi's leadership within the ACC over the past decade has been exemplary; he provided clear direction and a strong strategic approach to the organization, moving the ACC's agenda forward in a most inclusive and productive manner."

Sherman College Expands International Influence

Sherman College of Chiropractic is finalizing an articulation agreement with the Universidad de Iberoamerica (UNIBE) in San José, Costa Rica, that Sherman says is "designed to enhance the academic and scientific interchange between the two colleges."

"We look forward to the collaborative work ahead, as well as sharing chiropractic with colleagues across the globe," said Sherman President Edwin Cordero, DC, who visited UNIBE in January with board members and an administrative team. During the visit, Dr. Cordero signed the cooperative agreement with UNIBE President Dr. Emma Grace Hernandez.

"Sherman College is excited to welcome students who are looking to join a health care career that will allow them to bring principled chiropractic care to their communities and make a difference in the lives of others," Dr. Cordero added.

The Sherman team also visited Puerto Rico recently; last year, the college signed admission agreements with the Universidad Central de Bayamón (UCB) and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico (PUCPR).
