Knocking Down the Doors: Big Media Success for F4CP

By Editorial Staff

Three articles authored by a DC or a chiropractic organization and promoting the value of chiropractic care – par for the course if you're Dynamic Chiropractic, but if you're Forbes, BOSS Magazine and Becker's Spine Review, three media outlets tailored toward high-level executives and decision-makers, we're talking about an entirely different story.

And that's precisely the story the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) has managed to tell, with articles by Sherry McAllister, DC, executive vice president of the F4CP, in all three publications this fall.

The foundation provided a short synopsis of each article:

  • "The Darkside of Remote Work for Nonprofits" (Forbes, Oct. 12, 2018; published on CommunityVoice, an online benefit for members of the Forbes Nonprofit Council to which Dr. McAllister was recently named): "With the increase in telecommuting, this article details proper ergonomics for remote employees, alongside the care and maintenance, including chiropractic, that can help increase wellness and productivity among nonprofit remote workers."

  • "4 New Studies Highlight Advances in Collaborative Care Model for Spinal Disorders" (Becker's Spine Review, Oct. 12, 2018; 8,000-plus print circulation): "Showcasing four new studies which highlight the U.S. healthcare system progressing toward a patient-centered, comprehensive and collaborative care model, chiropractic shines throughout as a drug-free approach to managing spinal disorders and general health concerns."

  • "Making Adjustments for the Opioid Crisis" (BOSS Magazine, November 2018; 362,000-plus monthly subscribers): "Communicating the value of safe, effective and drug-free care, this feature spread underscores chiropractic as a first-line approach to manage pain and general health concerns prior to the utilization of prescription opioids."

"For over 15 years, the Foundation has been knocking on doors in the media with little to no avail, and now, not only are we being answered, but journalists are reaching out to us for information about safe, effective and drug-free chiropractic care," said Dr. McAllister in an F4CP press release announcing the article placements.
