The Parker College of Chiropractic has had its accreditation re-affirmed for the next seven years. The seven-year accreditation (the longest available) was granted at a meeting of the Chiropractic Council on Education (CCE) in Denver, Colorado June 19-23.
In attendance at the CCE meeting were Dr. James W. Parker, president of the college; Dr. Neil Stern, executive vice president; Dr. J.C. Johnson, member of the board of trustees; and Dr. Louis Brighi, secretary.
Parker Offers New Bachelor of Science in Anatomy
Parker College recently received a certificate of authority from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to award a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in anatomy. This approval comes after several years of effort by Parker administrators, faculty, and staff working toward this goal.
Parker Issues Special Texas License Plates
Parker has become the first chiropractic college to have its own distinctive license plates. Each plate has "Parker College of Chiropractic" written at the bottom, and is issued through the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. The license plate is available to students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the college.
D.A.B.C.R. Granted to Three Parker Faculty Members
Three chiropractic science faculty members of Parker College were awarded Diplomates of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiologists (D.A.B.C.R.) in June. Drs. Ken Garrett, Craig Church, and Darrell Hobson are the first faculty members at the college to receive this diplomate.
