The Chiropractic Centennial Foundation (CCF) is inviting representatives from all chiropractic organizations and colleges to meet with the CCF board of trustees and advisory committee in Davenport, Iowa, Saturday September 18, 1993, from 9-5 p.m.
It is hoped that representatives from each college and the national, state, and regional associations will attend this important meeting.
"We want everyone to come, regardless if they are members of the CCF or not," said Dr. William F. Holmberg, Centennial Foundation president. "It's important that we all come together and meet, and what a better day than Founder's Day?"

Dr. Marilyn Smith Joins CCF Board of Trustees
Dr. Marilyn P. Smith was greeted warmly by her fellow board members at her first meeting as a member of the CCF's board of trustees in May. "Dr. Marilyn Smith is no stranger to this group," said CCF President Dr. Holmberg. "She's well known in the chiropractic community, and a definite asset to the board."
A native Californian, Dr. Smith has been a major figure in chiropractic in her home state since opening her practice in Coronado, California in 1975. Dr. Smith is also a member of the California Chiropractic Association (CCA), and was a member of the California State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, serving as chairperson from 1980-81 and commissioner on examination from 1981-82.
Dr. Smith has been named to the newly created CCF awards and honors committee. The committee seeks to honor historical and contemporary pioneers in chiropractic during the 1995 celebration.
"I'm particularly happy to be a part of this committee," said Dr. Smith. "In my years in chiropractic, I've met many people, dedicated doctors who have made a real difference in this profession. Recognizing these people, as well as those who have come before them, is an important part of this celebration."
New Sponsor for Foundation
The CCF recently announced Williams Manufacturing as the latest CCF sponsor. The company pledged $6,000 to the Foundation. "At this point, we have a lot of irons in the fire," said Rick Flaherty, chairman of the CCF's fundraising and sponsorship efforts. "We're pleased that Williams has joined the Foundation as a sponsor and we're waiting to hear back from several other companies on pledges."
"I anticipate at least $100,000 in additional pledge money by the end of the summer," Mr. Flaherty estimated. "By the September Foundation meeting, we'll have made significant progress."
Kansas Chiropractic Assoc. Joins CCF
The CCF welcomed the Kansas Chiropractic Association as its latest new member. Thirty-seven state associations now belong to the CCF. Five foreign chiropractic associations are members of the Foundation as well: Asociacion Espanola de Quiropractica (Spain); British Chiropractic Association; Chiropractic Council of Japan; Norwegian Chiropractors' Association; and the Association of Swiss Chiropractors.
"We're striving to get every state, country, and provincial association to join," said Dr. Holmberg. "State association dues are only $1,250, which can be paid in increments until 1995. We encourage these state associations to commit to the CCF as grass roots representatives of the Chiropractic Centennial."
Centennial Buttons Distributed to the Colleges
The CCF has distributed Grand Celebration buttons to all 15 chiropractic college. "Once the buttons arrive at the colleges, the liaisons will distribute them to their college alumni, faculty, staff, and students," Dr. Holmberg said. "We hope the buttons will get people to identify the Grand Celebration logo, generate excitement, and build support for the 1995 event."
