Call for Abstracts from the Association of Chiropractic Colleges

By Editorial Staff
The Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) invites the submission of abstracts for its first annual Conference on Chiropractic Clinical Research to be held in conjunction with the annual ACC Conference on March 12-14, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the first time that the ACC has formally supported the research community in bringing research to the academic community. It is the association's intent to make this a regular part of their annual meeting.

Abstracts will be judged and assigned to either platform or poster presentations. If you have a preference, please indicate your choice on the abstract form. Platform presentations will be in lecture format and will be limited to 10 minutes. Poster presentations allow conference attendees a unique opportunity to speak directly with the authors. Authors often receive new insights from interested viewers and new collaborative relationships may develop from these interactions.

Posters will be on display in a prominent location for the duration of the conference. During the conference, time for viewing of the posters with the presenter will be set aside. Presenters will be scheduled to attend their poster during two poster presentation periods (1-2 hours each), but conference attendees are free to view the posters throughout the conference.

The ACC is keenly interested in soliciting platform and poster presentations, including submissions from qualified students, for the following topics:

  • Evaluation of chiropractic treatment procedures
  • Evaluation of chiropractic diagnostic procedures
  • Issues in chiropractic clinical practice
  • Assessment of adjustive techniques
  • Chiropractic professional issues
  • Chiropractic standards of care
  • Effectiveness and efficiency studies

Abstracts should be submitted to the program chair as soon as possible. Please complete the attached abstract form and return by November 15, 1997.

Deadline for Submission of Abstracts Is November 15, 1997
