ACC-RAC 2011: Call for Papers

In advance of the 2011 ACC-RAC conference in Las Vegas, the Association of Chiropractic Colleges has issued a call for scientific papers with a submission deadline of Sept. 1, 2010. Submissions must reflect original research that falls into one of these categories:

  • Research (Integration)
  • Research (Basic Science)
  • Research (Clinical/Health Care Systems)
  • Research (Educational)

Submissions must meet strict formatting and focus requirements in order to be considered, including but not limited to the following:

  • The submission must be in the form of a Word or RTF file, 2,000 words or less, and summarizing a completed study. Research proposals or projects not yet begun or not yet completed do not qualify.
  • Submissions must include an abstract (200 words or less); the abstract will be published in the Journal of Chiropractic Education conference proceedings if accepted.
  • Signatures of all contributing authors must be submitted on the authorship statement form.
  • Presentations of all accepted papers are expected; the presenting author(s) must register for the conference in order to present.

National Adds Two Members to Its "Hall of Honor"

Drs. Gordon Holman and Terry Yochum have been inducted into the National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) Hall of Honor, which "recognizes individuals whose impact on our lives has been so significant that they have changed the course of our lives forever." Previous inductees include Drs. Joseph Janse, Orvall Hidde, Leonard Faye, Joseph Keating and Louis Sportelli, among others. All told, the Hall of Honor now boasts 20 members.


Latest Diplomate Acupuncture Exam Scheduled for October

The American Board of Chiropractic Acupuncture and the ACA Council of Chiropractic Acupuncture (CCA) have announced that the third Chiropractic Acupuncture Diplomate Exam will be administered during the CCA's third annual symposium in Kansas City, Mo., Oct. 7-10, 2010. The three-day event will feature exam review on Oct. 7 and exam administration on Oct. 8.
