Parker Las Vegas 2011: Education, Motivation, Inspiration

Parker Seminars held its 2011 Las Vegas seminar series Jan. 13-15 at the Las Vegas Hilton, where more than 3,500 doctors of chiropractic and chiropractic assistants had the opportunity to learn innovative technique and business practices from experts in the field and view the latest in products and services from more than 350 industry vendors.

Keynote speakers included Drs. Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College of Chiropractic and Parker Seminars, and Gilles Lamarche, vice president of Parker Seminars; Drs. Simon and Jennifer Floreani; Dr. Patrick Gentempo; and Dr. Wayne Dyer. Other distinguished speakers included Dr. James Chesnut, Dr. Michael Hall, Brandi MacDonald and Heidi Farrell.

For the second straight year, NFL Hall of Fame receiver and Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (FCP) spokesperson Jerry Rice attended the Las Vegas seminar. Rice posed for photos and signed autographs at the show. Joining Rice at this year’s event were Ret. Brigadier General Rebecca Halstead, a fellow FCP spokesperson, along with three representatives of the Washington Redskins cheerleading squad, which recently completed a PSA for the foundation (see details in the Jan. 15 issue of DC). The cheerleaders shared their positive experiences with chiropractic, posed for photos, signed autographs and conducted interviews with the media.

At the Third Annual Parker Gala the evening of Jan. 14, honorary host Nick Vujicic, president of the international nonprofit organization Life Without Limbs and founder of a motivational speaking company, Attitude is Altitude, shared his inspirational story. Vujicic’s success story after being born without arms or legs captivated gala attendees. Proceeds from the gala went to help fund chiropractic research.
