Life West Names "Student of the Year"

Matt Green enrolled at Life Chiropractic College West seven quarters ago. He was a certified massage therapist, and had a bachelor's degree in music and cultural anthropology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. In his short time at Life West, he has turned in solid academic achievement and made numerous contributions to earn him "Student of the Year for 2001."

A member of the dean's list, Matt maintains a 3.5 grade-point-average and obtained the highest class score on the written clinic entrance test. He is president of Life West's Community Outreach Club; has helped coordinate the annual BACKpack Drive; has served as a speaker at the Life West Health Center and Family Emergency Shelter Coalition; and has been a contributing writer for the student newspaper.

A member of Life West's Delta Sigma Chi fraternity, Matt says he enjoys two things about the Hayward, California campus: "the sense of community," and the "tireless dedication of Dr. Clum" (president of Life West).
