Due to the success of the initial tournament, a second annual was planned. Sixteen invitations went out to chiropractic colleges across North America. CMCC hopes to eventually host all the North American colleges and as many chiropractic colleges as possible from around the world.
The second annual CMCC Invitational Volleyball Classic was held January 17-18 with ten teams participating. Four U.S. colleges were represent: Logan, Northwestern, Palmer, and National Chiropractic.
The tournament began with the ten teams competing in a round robin format. The winners of the round robin met in the playoffs to determine the championship matchup. CMCC and Palmer College met in the finals in a close, intense contest that saw CMCC repeat as the champions of the second annual CMCC Invitational Volleyball Classic.
During and after the competition the players and fans were able to socialize at the local pub and at an eminently fine eatery, where ideas were exchanged and chiropractic philosophies shared.
The 1992 tournament is already being planned, and organizers hope to see even greater participation from U.S. chiropractic colleges.
