WFC Research Committee Fills Vacancies, Expands
The World Federation of Chiropractic Research Committee has filled vacancies left by the recent resignation of several members and added several more as part of a "commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion."
"I am very excited to see the outstanding group of scientists appointed to the WFC Research Committee," said Christine Goertz, DC, PhD, committee chair.
Including Dr. Goertz, the WFC Research Committee is now comprised of 13 members: Scott Haldeman, DC, MD, PhD, FRCP (chair emeritus); Marc-André Blanchette, DC, MSc, PhD; Mitch Haas, DC, BS, MA; Anne Jensen, BSc, DC, DPhil, MSc, MS; Melissa Kioh, BSc (Chiro), MSc(PH), PhD(c); Imran Khan Niazi, MS, PhD; Keseri Padayachy, PhD, MChiro; Steven Passmore, DC, MS, PhD; Katie Pohlman, DC, MS, PhD; Sidney Rubinstein, DC PhD; Stacie Salsbury, RN, MSN, PhD; and Michael Schneider, DC, PhD.
According to the WFC, the committee "reflects the WFC's commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion. The newly-populated committee is widely representative of geographic regions, culture and ethnicity, research background and specialty interests."
F4CP Highlights Sports Chiropractic
The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress has launched a new campaign, "Optimizing Performance With Chiropractic Care." Per the foundation, "The print and social media campaign features 18 athletes and their experiences with chiropractic, and is dedicated to boosting awareness about the value of chiropractic care for athletic performance and health, as well as inspiring consumers to pursue a career in chiropractic." The campaign is particularly timely considering the gradual return to play by many young athletes following COVID restrictions; as well as the recent optimism regarding this year's Tokyo Summer Olympics.
