Palmer Board of Trustees Announces New, Returning Members

Susan Hatfield, PhD, a professor of communication studies at Winona State University and peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, has been appointed to the Palmer College Board of Trustees.

The one-year appointment took effect Jan. 1, 2011. Current board members Dr. Michael Hahn, John Huston, Ken Koupal, Dr. Barry McAlpine, Dr. Paul Peterson and Dr. Paul VanDuyne have been reappointed to the board, each for three-year terms.


Dr. Arlan Fuhr Honored

During Parker Seminars Las Vegas in January, Parker College of Chiropractic inducted Dr. Arlan Fuhr, the founder and CEO of Activator Methods, International, into the Drugless Research Hall of Fame. Dr. Fuhr becomes the third such inductee, joining Dr. Ron Rupert and Dr. Cheryl Hawk. The Drugless Research Hall of Fame was designed to "showcase significant drug-free contributions in research worldwide."


ANJC Sports Council Names Its Chiropractor of the Year

The Association of New Jersey Chiropractors Sports Council has named Eric Nelson, DC, CCSP, sports chiropractor of the year for 2010. A past president of the sports council, Dr. Nelson helped grow the council to its current membership of more than 100 DCs.
