National Graduate Authors Chapter in Gray's Anatomy
The British reference version of the 41st edition of Gray's Anatomy features a comprehensive chapter on the ankle and foot authored by National University of Health Sciences graduate Dr. Anthony D'Antoni. The 25,000-plus-word chapter appears in the unabridged reference counterpart to the student textbook edition.
Dr. D'Antoni is currently a clinical professor and director of anatomy at the CUNY School of Medicine (formerly Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education) in New York City, and serves on the editorial boards of Clinical Anatomy and Translational Research in Anatomy.
Caring for Athletes: Logan Partners With Local University
Logan University recently partnered with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to provide chiropractic care to student-athletes in conjunction with SIUE's athletic training program. Logan student interns will visit SIUE twice weekly, evaluating and providing recommendations for care under the supervision of clinicians and doctors of chiropractic. SIUE's athletic trainer will then determine how to incorporate treatment (including chiropractic) into the training program.
According to Dr. David Parish, who directs the Master of Sports Science and Rehabilitation program and the Human Performance Center at Logan, the partnership "allows for SIUE athletes to experience chiropractic and for the athletic trainers to see what it can do for their athletes."
