WebMD Makes Historic Invite to Chiropractors

By Editorial Staff

WebMD enjoys monthly traffic of approximately 150 million visits (5 million a day), which is why it is widely considered the most popular health site on the Web. Less well-known is the fact that WebMD also has a doctor directory, which enjoys somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 million searches on a monthly basis.

Doctors of chiropractic have been eligible for inclusion in the WebMD doctor directory, but few have chosen to participate, and WebMD certainly hasn't promoted anything to that effect. That is, until now.

In collaboration with the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), WebMD is inviting all DCs to add their practice details as a free listing on the WebMD doctor directory. All Foundation for Chiropractic Progress members will automatically be added to the directory and will receive an email linking them to their initial listing, where they can provide additional information to complete the listing.

An enhanced listing includes top-of-page placement for your specialty in your local area; an appointment request form; and a call tracking number.

Kent Greenawalt, the founder and CEO of the F4CP, and Tom Daniel, general manager of Internet Brands (the parent company of WebMD) made the announcement at Parker Seminars Las Vegas on Friday, Feb. 22.

Editor's Note: As of press time, sources suggest chiropractor listings in the WebMD doctor directory may also be included in the Vitals.com directory. We will provide additional details if and when this is confirmed.
