Becoming a Chiropractic Bicentennial Charter Member

By Editorial Staff
Before the Chiropractic Centennial Foundation (CCF) disbanded it took the visionary step to establish the Chiropractic Bicentennial Trust Fund. Talk about planning ahead. The money in this trust will be used to benefit the chiropractic profession when it comes time to celebrate 200 years of chiropractic.

The Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) has agreed to be the repository of the bicentennial funds. The fund will be managed by trustees appointed by the ACC, American Chiropractic Association (ACA), International Chiropractors Association (ICA), and the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC).

The beauty of a trust fund is the power of compound interest over time. Given that the fund will have 92 years to accrue (this assumes money from the fund begins to be spent in 2090 to prepare for the main event in 2095), the trust is expected to grow at a average rate of 6-9 percent annually. A $500 donation growing at an average of 6 percent over 92 years would provide over $120,000 for the DCs of tomorrow. If that same $500 is able to grow at nine percent, the figure would be almost $2 million. This means that you can make a $2 million donation to the future of chiropractic for only $500 donation today!

NCMIC Leads Early Donations

The Chiropractic Centennial Foundation has already deposited $40,000 as seed money. NCMIC insurance company has added an additional $10,000. The goal is to bring the total up to $100,000 to be invested towards chiropractic as it enters it third century!

If you're having trouble imagining that, picture the hundreds of millions of dollars chiropractic would have had in its treasury chest if some farsighted chiropractic groups a century ago had invested in a trust fund for chiropractic's centennial.

If you would like to become a charter member of the Chiropractic Bicentennial this is your opportunity. Each charter member is asked to donate $500 to the Chiropractic Bicentennial Trust Fund, which will grow unmolested for the next 92 years. Charter members who donate before April 30th will be honored in Dynamic Chiropractic and other chiropractic media.

If you become a Bicentennial charter member, you will also be honored at the Chiropractic Bicentennial in 2095. In addition, your name will be permanently included in the founding trust agreement.

This is your chance to be remembered by future DCs as they begin chiropractic's third century. This is also a testimony to your belief that chiropractic will only grow and prosper.

To become a charter member of the Chiropractic Bicentennial, please send your $500 donation made payable to:

Chiropractic Centennial Foundation
P.O. Box 4522
Davenport, IA 52808
Be sure to designate your donation for the Chiropractic Bicentennial Trust.

Chiropractic suppliers may also become charter corporate sponsors by making a $3,000 donation to the Chiropractic Bicentennial. They will receive all of the above recognition and benefits. If you are considering becoming a charter corporate sponsor, this will be your opportunity to show your commitment to the future of chiropractic.
