The student body of Life Chiropractic College West elected student council officers for the '94-95 school year. Their terms begin July 11th.
President: Daniel Schultz, a sophomore from Wood Bridge, New Jersey.
Vice President: Amy Bovenkamp, a sophomore from Seattle, Washington.
Secretary: Clifford Adams-Hart, a freshman from Fremont, California.
Treasurer: Lewis Harper, a freshman from Corinne, Utah.
Annette Osenga (r), media librarian at Life West, gave an anatomy lesson to fourth and fifth grade students and teachers from Independent Elementary School in Castro Valley, California. The students toured colleges and universities in the Bay Area to learn about career opportunities.

Faculty Contribute Articles to Inaugural Issue of JournalPalmer College of Chiropractic West faculty contributed five articles to the inaugural issue of Topics in Clinical Chiropractic (TICC), a new quarterly journal which has distinguished itself from other chiropractic scholarly periodicals by devoting each edition to focusing on one specific subject, an editorial format commonly used by other health care profession publications.
"TICC strives to fill that vast middle ground (of current chiropractic literature) with useful, readable, clinically relevant material presented in a scholarly, peer-reviewed fashion," said Dr. Robert Mootz, editor and adjunct faculty member at Palmer West. "TICC is geared toward the needs of the practicing physician. The purpose of the journal is to provide practitioners with relevant, practical information that fosters clinical excellence."

New Director of Patient Services & Development for Clinics
Palmer West has appointed Anna Sturgeon as the new director of patient services and development for the college's clinics. Her primary responsibility is to educate the public on the benefits of chiropractic care and enhance greater community awareness and use of the Palmer West college clinics.
Cleveland Chiropractic College of Los Angeles
Dean of Instruction AppointedMiriam Kahan, PhD, MPH, is the new dean of instruction at Cleveland Chiropractic College of Los Angeles (CCCLA).
Dr. Matthew Givrad, CCCLA executive vice president, said Dr. Kahan was the "unanimous choice of all sectors of the college, including faculty, students, department heads, and the administration."
Dr. Kahan served as the assistant dean in the College of Allied Health at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science for over 12 years. She received her doctorate in educational psychology and master's degree in public health from UCLA. Dr. Kahan, who is also a CCCLA associate professor and a co-editor of the Health Education Quarterly "News Notes" section.
"I look forward to promoting and enhancing Cleveland College's curriculum and collaborating with faculty, students, and staff to meet their needs by serving as a support system."
